Asya was born in Moscow and immigrated to the United States, settling in White Oak and then Kemp Mill. She trained at the Kirov Academy, Dance Explosion, the Washington Ballet School, and Goucher College. Her decade+ career highlights include Koresh Dance Company, performances with the Washington Ballet, Nilas Martins and exploring dance films. She founded ARTIST HOUSE / Asya Zlatina + Dancers aimed at meaningful dance creation and senior and special needs outreach. Visit Artist-house.org!
Asya attended the Berman Hebrew Academy and is grateful to her beloved, amazing teachers, administrators and librarians at the Academy for everything they have given her and for their outstanding supportive role. She is grateful to her mother and family for inspiring her and allowing her to pursue her dreams!
